Nicholas Van Vactor: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; Born in Boston. Spent significant portions of my childhood in Paris. I have a particular belief system of progress and education. As a grandson of a distinguished American composer, David G. Van Vactor (1906-1994), I was exposed to the whole range of 20th Century serious music at home. These experiences may have made me sensitive to certain aspects of society’s function.
